Unofficial Notice Board of the 2026 St Barths Bucket Regatta

25 September 2025

Changing Seasons!

It’s time to plan your 2026 Bucket experience

Fall has arrived and captains are preparing for delivery to the Caribbean islands.

For many yacht owners, their Caribbean season wouldn’t be complete without a Bucket Regatta experience (12 – 15 March). St Barths will be ready as event plans and preparations are well underway. The Notice of Race and Schedule are posted.

New in 2026 is the addition of a fourth day of racing. This Thursday race will be an optional, stand-alone race and not part of the three-day Bucket series. The trade winds have been somewhat less dependable these past few years, and with a desire for more racing, participants asked for a fourth day. The Bucket Stewards will consider a four-day Bucket series in 2027 based on feedback from participating yacht owners.

Entries and early commitments are running well ahead of recent years. Another robust fleet with great class competition is shaping up.

In addition to conventional superyacht racing under the ORCsy handicap rule, the non-spinnaker Corinthian Spirit class racing will once again be a popular option for owners. Early entries indicate that the 90-foot class will be back in play as well as the 100-foot racing class, which made its Bucket debut this year.

The 2025 yacht owner social schedule and other shoreside festivities clearly set a new standard. 2026 has even more to offer participating yacht owners and their guests.

Please feel free to reach out anytime if you have any questions about the 2026 edition. It’s already shaping up to be a most memorable experience!

All the best,
Peter
