It is the race committee’s hope to start on time with the warning signal for the first starter at 1025. The first starter will be BURRASCA. We are continuing to evaluate wind conditions around the island at this time. Average conditions have been 8 – 9 kts from the north-northeast.

We are planning on using three custom courses for today’s racing. The courses being considered and outlined below are NOT FINAL. We have shorter versions of all the courses should the wind drop out.

RACING TOMORROW, SUNDAY, WILL BE AN HOUR EARLIER THAN SCHEDULED!

Multiple weather forecasts suggest that there is a better chance of getting a fair race in by starting earlier in the morning. As such, we will be moving everything on the daily schedule related to racing up one hour on Sunday.
The morning pre-race briefing will be at 0730.
The first VHF broadcast will be at 0900.
The warning signal for the first starter will be at 1025.
The first start is at 1030.

  1420 ANNOUNCEMENT: SHORTEN COURSE at MARK M for ALL CLASSES
The RC is on station in a mark boat displaying an S flag at Mark Y to shorten Race 2 for ALL CLASSES. The bearing to the finish line is 210 to the eastern edge of Ilse of Forchue (Mark M).
