2026 St Barths Bucket Regatta poster. One of the things that makes the Bucket so special is that a portion of every entry fee and proceeds from the poster sales go right back into the community that has welcomed us so warmly for over 30 years. This year we’re proud to again support the St. Barth’s Yacht Club (SBYC) Youth Sailing Program — a cause that couldn’t be more perfectly aligned with the spirit of the sea we all love.

Island fun fact: on St. Barth’s, every child learns to sail. As part of school, kids ages 6–16 head to SBYC for sailing lessons once a week during their trimester.  Good reason not to skip school, right?

Programs like this help cultivate the next generation of sailors — teaching respect for the ocean, confidence on the water, and a lifelong love of sailing.

Fair winds to the young sailors of St. Barth’s!

Called a true “difference maker,” longtime Director of the Port of Gustavia, Ernest Brin, has officially decided it’s time to lower the sails and step down from his post. While his watchful eye on the sailing teams this week is just a small glimpse of what he’s done all year long, his impact on the Bucket — and the people behind it — has been enormous.

To Bucket organizers and participants alike, Ernest isn’t just the Port Director, he’s a trusted friend, a steady hand, and a familiar smile on the docks.

On Wednesday evening, under the lights of the Capitainerie award stage, Ernest was presented with a gleaming silver bucket—engraved with a heartfelt message:

“With Sincere Gratitude from Three Decades of Bucketeers.”

It was a fitting tribute to a man who has been part of the Bucket story for so long.

Fair winds ahead, Ernest. And may the voyage before you be every bit as rich and memorable as the wake of stories, friendships, and unforgettable moments you’ve left behind.

Nikki Beach Restaurant and Beach Club absolutely stole the show Thursday evening, hosting an unforgettable Owners’ Party that set the tone for the week. Even a sudden burst of torrential rain couldn’t put a damper on the celebration for 300 guests. Conversations flowed easily as owners and their guests mingled, laughed, and swapped stories from the docks. And just as freely as the conversations flowed, so did the Perrier-Jouet Grand Brut Champagne and rosé, perfectly paired with an irresistible spread of delectable foods.

While that was happening, the Fleet Welcoming Party was hopping at the Bucket Marquee on the Quay. Hundreds turned out to dance to the music of Zig Zag, reconnect with old friends, and meet new rivals across the racing fleet.

Rain or shine, the Bucketeers proved once again that nothing can slow down a great party!
